January favourites!

Hiya!

I'm gonna do a post that is very typical of bloggers these days. But so what? This is gonna be a combined favourites of December and January. I was planning to do this last month as well but it got super busy towards the end of the month and I had so many trips and other things I wanted to blog about like NYE and my trip to Brighton that this got pushed to the side. So expect a super long post!
My first favourite is the VO5 plump it up spray. This is an amplifying lotion that you spray in your hair and you get volume and thickness with natural bounce. I LOVE  this product! I have been using this product for a while and I can really see a difference after I've dried my hair now. Before my hair was just flat with no life or bounce but now my hair looks fun and healthy. As well as that it also has added heat defence, which is the reason I bought it since I had run out of my previous heat defence. Knowing that my hair is being protected as well is making the product even better! I have never stuck to once spray before but now I will never go back to any other!

I am also loving the expert face brush by real techniques. I love all of real techniques and have a few other brushes. I thought I would add this brush to my collection and since I have brought it I have barely stopped using it! The cover it gives is amazing! The brushes are all synthetic and are really soft. They are also all colour coded so you know which area you use each brush for. I really hope to extend my collection even more soon!

Another real techniques brush I am loving is the buffing brush. I bought this a while ago and have used it while my expert face brush was drying after I gave it a deep clean. It is again so soft and gives a lighter coverage than the expert face brush. All of these brushes are also free standing which helps prevent messy tables! With the starter eye kit and the core collection you also get a travel case for the brushes that can also turn into a stand. I think this is amazing as it can be easily put away in a suitcase for a holiday or can be placed somewhere when doing makeup. The case is definitely good and neat and a thing I love! I think it is safe to say that I love real techniques!

Another thing I love is the Rimmel London clear brow gel. I bought this last month in he hope it would keep my hairs in place. (my brows are a mess that I really need to sort out!) This is really good and I love it! Definitely something I'll buy again! You can also get it in colours so if you want a bit of colour in your brows you can do it with this. I might even buy the brown colour!

I have also been loving my new polaroid. To be exact it is a Fujifilm mini instax 8. I got this for my birthday back in December and it is really cool! The white border is really cute and you get a lot in considering how small it is. For Christmas I got an acessorie kit with it which included a cover for it with a strap. You really need a case with it to keep it protected. The strap makes it easy to carry round on holiday or on a day out wit you. This is definitely a good present for somebodies birthday or Christmas!

Over the last couple of weeks I have been loving the herbal essence beautiful ends shampoo. It contains pomegranates which gives its amazing smell. The colour is also nice. It leaves my hair smelling all fruity and heavenly. I have already bought 2 spare bottles!

Another thing I have loved for a while now is the Maybelline New York Rocket mascara. I have been using the waterproof one and this is the best mascara I have used for a long time! It gives really good volume and you can really layer it up! Only problem is that it is difficult to take off. However Rimmel do a waterproof makeup remover for a good price!

My final love for this month has to be the cranberry shower gel from body shop. This smells lush and is so nice to wash yourself with. It also comes in a handy size for travelling!

Hope you have enjoyed this post and let me know in the comments or via twitter if you want to see more of this or anything else that you want to see! Thanks for reading and check out my other posts!

Change my life...

Hiya!

So this is a bit of a spur of the moment blog post. But this blog post is supposed to help me change. Yep, all about me! Recently I haven't been living my life the way I want to and I want to try and change it. So many times I have told myself inside my head about how I want to change things but yet I never have. Hopefully by writing this I will definitely improve my bad habits.

My first lifestyle change that I want to make is to be on time for things. I'm rarely on time for school for example. (Lets just say I'm not a morning person and find it very hard to get my arse out of bed!) So from now on I will try and get more sleep so I am not finding it too hard to get my arse out of bed! Well, unless you have homework or blog commitments. Success has no time limits and will make you stay up until the early hours if necessary! Also, don't take forever in the shower. No more than ten minutes! It will help me be a lot quicker in the mornings which is part of my problem! Don't be late to your classes after school either! Your friends are there too so go and socialise! Even if you aren't a Monday person!

Another lifestyle change is that I want to eat more healthily. Losing weight isn't doing the diet where you eat whatever you want and hope for a bloody miracle! Admittedly I have been better this year with my food habits. I just want to try and push myself more! I also want to do more exercise and go to the gym or for a run. (just look at me I'm turning into a nutter!) Hopefully the pounds will drop and I will be skinny! (Yay!)

As well as all that I want to start making youtube videos for you lot. I want to let you guys into my life a little bit more and I want to share all the fun I have with you. I will still keep up with the blog. Currently I'm thinking of doing the bean boozled challenge and possibly with a few friends? Let me know if you would like that.

That's it for now but let me know what you think of the bean boozled challenge. Thanks for reading!

10 facts about me

Since this blog is fairly new and most of you don't know me and are from different countries I thought I would tell you some facts about me that maybe people who know me don't know.

1. When I was younger I knew this boy called Elliot who I kept calling idiot by accident! Apparently the only person who noticed this was my mum who told me years later!

2. I have been horse riding for 4 and a half years. I started in September 2011 and I never expected it to turn into something that would be so important to me. I have had many achievements with it and it has taken me to places which I never thought it would like Santander in Northern Spain. It has also given me a few injuries and a trip to A&E just over a week ago.

3.  I love the smell of petrol.

4. I used to hate any fillings in my sandwiches. I would only ever have  read and butter or Nutella but nothing else. I'm much better nowadays and have different fillings in my sandwiches.

5. I have this teddy that is a duck that I've had since I was born. I called him ducky and I still have him today. I refuse to throw him out.

6.  I love to travel and find out about new and exciting places. I especially love to take photos in new and exciting places. I really want to go to New York one day.

7. I adore makeup and I really want to be a makeup artist one day.

8. When I was younger I really wanted to be a famous singer. I soon realised that I was absolutely crap at singing.

9. I have always had a love for animals. Over the years I have had a rabbit, three fish and a cat. I have also had horse riding lessons and have been riding for many years as I have already mentioned.

10. I used to have a really big fear of heights. When I was 11 though I went on a school trip and overcame my fear. It is still slightly there but it is much better now.

I hope that you have enjoyed getting to know me better and if have any interesting and unknown facts about yourself feel free to share them below in the comments. Also forget don't forget to regularly check my twitter to know when my blog posts are put up! @Abbey_Mariexx

Reveiw: nothing but the truth by Vicky Pattison

Over the Christmas period I started reading Vicky Pattison's autobiography, nothing but the truth, and I've already finished it! (Kinda tells you what I thought of the book!) Overall, I loved it and  think it is definitely worth the buy and the read!

In the book there are 2 sections of pictures, which is admittedly what I really like about autobiographies, getting to see what the person looked like before they got famous! There is a lot about her time at uni, her school years, travelling and her relationships, especially her relationship with Ricci and how it made her feel really crap! I really respect her for this as it must of been a tough thing. Ricci seems to be an utter git! Which isn't too different from what I first thought of him! The copy I bought was an updated version and it was nice to hear some more recent things Vicky had been up to. One of the things Vicky said in book which I totally agree with is that people really like knowing what is going on in other peoples lives. Its probably why reality TV is so successful and popular, especially with young people. Its part of the reason why I wanted to read this book!

There is also a lot about her weight loss and her DVD, 7 day slim, and how she created the routines which is something you don't generally hear about. Back in the summer of 2015 I read fellow Geordie Shore star Charlotte Crosby's book, Me Me Me, and it doesn't mention half as much about her weight loss!

I first found out about Vicky in the media when she was in Geordie Shore. I don't really watch Geordie Shore but I end up hearing about things like this and end up finding out the names of the people who are on them such as Vicky and Charlotte. When she was on I'm a celeb is when I really started to like her. It was the first time I had seen Vicky on telly and  I got to see what she did and not just read about it in the media. To be honest, I kinda fell in love with Vicky in the jungle! Brand new girl crush! (also #WCW!) (just a disclaimer that the book doesn't actually include anything about her time in the jungle!)

Overall, nothing but the truth is a book definitely worth reading if you love Vicky and Geordie Shore. Also if you love just being really nosey and want to know what people have done in their lives! The best place to get it is amazon where you can buy it at the amazing price of only £3.85! However, Charlotte's book was a lot funnier and a really easy read too and a good buy too if you like her. (also available on amazon, but a bit pricier!)

Hope you have enjoyed this post and comment or tweet me on what you want to see me post and check my twitter to know when I update. I'll try to post at around 8pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from now on!

My Horse Riding accident and A&E visit...

Hiya!

So, this is gonna be a different post but I wanted to do more posts on what I do this year. And yes, I will be starting off with this slightly down post. But this is my blog and I'm gonna post what I like and I have no intention of it being a sob story nor am I expecting any sympathy. This is a more difficult thing to talk about though so please no hate or negative comments!

So, on Sundays I usually go horse riding, and last Sunday was no different. However, as I was coming into canter at the corner the horse suddenly stopped and bucked. I flew off and landed flat but slightly on my left hand side. It was quite heavy and I had hurt my left hip and wrist. I got up though and people checked me out. At the time I wasn't too bad at the time, I was just in pain with a bit of dizziness. But oh how we all spoke too soon...

Later, when I was home after I had a bath I was still dizzy but my vision was also blurred. Not long after I had got out of the bath I threw up. This was the point my parents got a bit worried and took me to A&E (the ER if you live in America. I'm not sure what you call it elsewhere, sorry!) thinking that I might have a concussion. Just as we got to A&E I threw up again. Luckily I had a bucket just in case I did do just that.

At A&E I got seen by the first doctor fairly quickly. I got checked to see if I needed a CT scan. Then  me and my parents were waiting around for a couple of hours. In that time I threw up a few more times. It got to the point where I was just throwing up the water and squash I had just drunk. I felt like I should have just poured half of the cup in the bucket in the first place!

Finally I got to see the doctor. He did a few tests on me, did a scan, and got an x-ray. The results of the x-ray told us that there was nothing seriously wrong with me, just bad bruising! The doctor also told us I had no concussion! Thank God!

We then all drove home relieved that there was nothing seriously wrong with me and I just needed painkillers! For dinner, we had chips and beans, yum!

2015

Hiya!

First of all, hope you al had an amazing Christmas!

So, ok I know this might be a tiny little bit late but better late than never! I feel as if I  should write a post on all the things I achieved in 2015. This time last year I wrote myself a letter (yes, a letter on paper...) saying all the things I wanted to achieve during the year. I feel as if I have come over many hurdles which have had an impact on who I have become. I feel as though I have grown up a lot over the past 12 months to say the least!

One thing I wanted to do was meet new people. I met lots of new people (celebrities and non - celebs). In July, I met former X factor band 2014 Only the Young at Pennfest. I got selfies with all four of them and they are all so nice. I also managed  to see them on their first and last headline tour! Unfortunately they spilt up in early November.

A few weeks after Pennfest I went to Spain to a language immersion camp and met a whole load of people, both Spanish and English. I have met up with most of the English lot since the trip. There were two people I specially bonded with. I have met up with one of them a lot since we have got back but unfortunately I have not had a chance to meet up with the other. She has a lot going on and has big milestones coming up soon!

In November I met Union J again on their "An Audience with" tour. It was also my first Meet & Greet with them. I was so star struck to say the least! That night I also met Sonny from Loveable Rogues. He is such a nice guy and I really want to meet him again! Ollie Marland was also there that night but funnily enough he had dyed his hair blonde and I couldn't recognise him and I didn't go up to say hello! Ha!

During 2015 I also went to a few new places. I went on holiday to Mallorca. I specifically went to Alcudia and stayed in a villa. The villa was amazing and the pool was incredible. I had never stayed in a villa before and I loved it! I also went to Santander, Northern Spain, which is a really beautiful place. In Santander I stayed in a language immersion camp which I have mentioned before. It was an interesting experience to say the least! The food was really good and well made by this lovely chef that we had that made sure we were getting a balanced diet. The plumbing, however, was a different story. The toilet kept getting blocked and wouldn't flush. At the end of the trip it flooded as well! The showers were lousy and water went everywhere! (I knew shower curtains weren't great but never this bloody bad!) As well as that I got very homesick as I had never been so far away from home with an experience quite like that. But I made some good friends I hope to keep for life. I also learnt a lot of lessons out there I never would of learnt elsewhere and made friends with people I never knew existed! Overall, it was an eventful trip full of ups and downs!

I also did really well at school this calendar year! I got 4 A's in my last report!! There have been quite a few low points over the last few years at school, especially involving friendships. But here I am, having battled through them all, standing with new friends, new life lessons learned and good grades. All I can say now is, bring on 2016!!!!!!!

2015 was also the year I created this blog. Even though it was very late in the year! I hope I can really build this blog into the thing I want it to which I will explain in another post. I hope you can all stick with me if you can!

Thanks for reading this. I hope you had a great 2015 and hope you have an even better 2016! I be blogging my year on here for you to see and feel free to comment on here or message me on Twitter to let me know how your year is going! Check out my Twitter too to know when I have updated my blog!

Bye for now,

New Year, New Me!

A new year is typically a time of making resolutions and making a change. This year I want to make just a few changes and do a few things I haven't done before.

First of all, I want to go to the gym and lose the belly that makes me look pregnant. People say I look fine but I not happy with my weight myself. I also want to get fit at the same time. I'm not the fittest person and I never will be but I would like to see myself a bit fitter by the end of the year.

Secondly, I would like to get my arse off the sofa and go meet Olly. (boyfriend of Jaymi Hensley, Union J) He works so close to me and I have passed it so many times on the way to the cinema but I still haven't bloody gone! My aim for 2016 is to meet him and get your hair done by him.

Another thing is that I want to make new friendships. Over the past few years I have struggled with friendships. Although I have a few really special friends I want to make more. Many people don't know the real me and I want people to see the real me in 2016. By being myself I hope that I will be able to make new friends.

My final change and improvement that I want to make in 2016 is that I want to work even harder and get better grades at school. I want to not get distracted while doing homework (hard task, I know!). I want to be able to time box and get everything I want to do done in that time. I want to work hard at this blog too and make it as successful as possible and make it into everything that I want it to.

So, I have a lot planned for the next year! Lets hope that I do everything and have the best year yet! Comment on what you want to achieve and do in the next year and follow me on twitter to stay updated! @Abbey_Mariexx

Happy new year!
