Pamper eveing ideas...

During the cold winter months or any time of year, especially after a long week at work or school you may want to set aside an evening to relax and pamper yourself. I've recently have had a few so I thought I would tell you what I do and give you a few ideas that you may not have heard of before.

I tend to start off my pamper evenings with a bubble bath. I have a drink of my choice with a few little candles all around the bath to make it seem atmospheric and soak. During this I take off any chipped nail varnish and cleanse and exfoliate my face. Generally I take all my makeup off before I get in the bath.

Then, after the bath I get into my pyjamas or onesie, depending on how cold it is outside and the time of year, and relax in my room and read a magazine or book or even update my blog and write posts to publish at a later date. I might also even paint my nails in a new colour. Around me I like to have all my candles lit and my fairy lights on. I like to have softer light during my pamper evenings as it makes me feel more relaxed.

Afterwards I like to go to sleep and wake up refreshed the next day. My favourite time to have these pamper evenings is at the weekend or during the holidays. I don't tend to have them to regular though since I don't get the time.

Hope you enjoyed this and comment below what you do during your pamper evenings or if you have them at all and if you have taken any ideas form this blog! Don't forget to follow me on twitter! @Abbey_Mariexx

Ice skating and Brighton weekend!

Hiya!

So, I've just got back from a weekend in Brighton visiting my cousins. It was so much of fun catching up with them! I don't see my cousins a lot since we both live quite far away from each other and we both have commitments like school and education and generally busy lives, but when we do meet up we all have fun and do lots!

The first thing I did with my cousins was go ice skating. We went to the ice rink at the royal pavilion in Brighton which is an amazingly beautiful setting and whether you are a kid or not this is not to be missed! I was a bit nervous at first since the last time I went skating was way back in May! I wasn't too bad even though I did have one fall! I managed to get back up though and carry on skating! I also got a few pictures on my phone and my polaroid! I got my polaroid for my birthday just over a week ago and I love it! Me and my youngest cousin are really close, even with a 4 year age gap!

Afterwards we went to this place called Pearls Bubble Tea which is a place with does different types of flavoured tea with either jelly or pearls in it. I had chocolate milk tea with strawberry pearls which I was told was good. It was an interesting flavoured combo to say the least! Overall, after having about half of my drink I decided that Pearls wasn't my cup of tea (get the pun? No. I'll carry on then) and threw the other half away.

Back at my cousins house we had dinner which was chicken in a mushroom sauce with peas, carrots and sweet potato mash. Yum! For dessert I pigged out and had a chocolate ganache with chocolate and smarties ice cream. Amazing!

Overall, I had a great time ice skating with my cousins and catching up with them. I can't to see them next month for my aunts birthday party! And trust me, when that happens I'll be giving you a blog post on it.

Hope you had a great Christmas and comment on what blog posts you want to see me write! Make sure you follow me on twitter to know when their up! @Abbey_Mariexx

Bye guys!

Favourite Festive Films!

Hiya!

Merry Christmas everyone!

So, as its Christmas Eve I thought I would give you a festive post on what my top 5 films of the season are!

1. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
This film is so sweet and lovely and people of any age will love this! I first saw this film when I was about 6 or 7 and I loved it then and I still do now!

2. Frosty the snowman
This is a really fun film that will keep you smiling throughout!

3. Home alone
One of the originals you just can't beat!

4. Elf
Another classic you just can't beat!

5. Frozen
Ok, not actually a Christmas film but makes me smile and the snow makes me feel all festive!

I hope this has got you into the festive mood just in time and got you excited for Santa to come down your chimney tonight! Hope you all get what you deserve and merry Christmas and a happy new year!

Christmas Traditions

It's nearly Christmas!!! So, as it is the festive season and the time of giving I thought I would give you all a post telling you what traditions my family have at Christmas.

As most families do, we all open our presents on Christmas morning with all the Christmas lights on, which is a lot since we have 5 trees and lights in the window! After this we usually go to my nans to open more presents but this year we are staying at home and my nan and granddad are coming round for Christmas dinner! For Christmas dinner we  have a turkey with all the trimmings, like most families, although my dad will be having a nut roast, because he's a vegetarian.

In the late afternoon, early evening of Christmas Eve me and my parents go to a Christingle service in a church nearby. We aren't religious but its really nice and sweet and you get free sweets! For us, that's when Christmas starts. After, we drive around looking out for Christmas lights. Once we get home we eat dinner and stuff our face with chocolates like everyone else!

Feel free to comment on what you do at Christmas and follow me on twitter! @Abbey_Marie

Welcome!...

Hiya!

My name is Abbey and welcome to my new blog! I'm just a very normal girl living in planet Earth. I love photography. Taking pictures and being able to capture incredible and amazing moments forever is something I love! I also love makeup. I hope that one day I will be a makeup artist and working for brands such as Urban Decay, MAC and YSL, maybe even doing freelance! Another thing I adore is horse riding. I have always loved animals. In the past I have had a pet rabbit and 3 fish in the past and currently I have a cat. Riding is such fun for me and a good way to keep fit. Music is one of my main passions though. Music can speak and explain emotions that words can't. Going to concerts is something I love. The thrill and excitement of going to see your favourite artist or band is unexplainable. The next few years of my life are going to be eventful but I hope to bring you along on adventures with me everywhere I go and have fun! Hope you enjoy coming with me!

So here it is, December 22nd 2015, where the adventure starts....
